About AARM

It's a premiere institute under Animal Resources Development Department, Govt of WB managed by West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited (WBLDCL), in collaboration with Paschim Banga Go-Sampad Bikash Sanstha (PBGSBS), Govt of West Bengal. Both are dedicated parastatals of Animal Resources Development Department, Govt of WB.

AARM is committed to crafting Farmers, Technicians, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Academicians for the upliftment of the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture sector — delivering nationally standardised training with hands-on competencies and strong industry linkage.

Memorandum of Establishment

Memorandum issued vide No.1536-AR & AH(Sch)/AD/O/4A-89/2006, Dated 11/09/2007. PBGSBS was entrusted to execute the project under RIDF XIV financial assistance at the northern side of Haringhata Farm — with the intent to render training to in-service Veterinarians, Para-vets, and farmers opting for Livestock farming.

In pursuance of ARD Notification No. 87/5T/138/22, Dated 10/01/23, AARM was taken over by the Managing Director, WBLDCL from the Additional Director, ARD, Haringhata Farm — marking a new era of structured institutional management.

Admission Procedure

Candidates are nominated by the Government and must apply individually by visiting wbldc.in. Applications are verified and candidates are admitted to undergo the training programme.
Assessment: Written / Google Form (MCQ) + Practical Training. 50% marks mandatory for all trainings.
Certificates issued jointly by ARD Department & WBLDCL — digitally generated.
