History & Legacy
Memorandum issued vide No.1536-AR & AH(Sch)/AD/O/4A-89/2006, Dated 11/09/2007. PBGSBS was entrusted to execute the project under RIDF XIV financial assistance at the northern side of Haringhata Farm — with the intent to render training to in-service Veterinarians, Para-vets, and farmers opting for Livestock farming.
Several government-sponsored training programmes were introduced from 2016 onwards, marking AARM's active transition into a functional training institution.
AARM brought under the administrative control of Additional Director, Animal Resources Development, Haringhata Farm vide Notification No. 341-AR&AH/3A-0A/2020, Dated 19/02/2020.
In pursuance of ARD Notification No. 87/5T/138/22, Dated 10/01/23, AARM was taken over by the Managing Director, WBLDCL from the Additional Director, ARD, Haringhata Farm — marking a new era of structured institutional management.
Rapid expansion across 37+ training programmes. Digital certification, MAITRI training under Rastriya Gokul Mission, ASCAD professional development, and integration with PBGSBS Genomic Selection Programme and ARD department initiatives. Cumulative trainee count surpassed 9,300.

4 smart rooms (1 AC, 3 Non-AC) with Audio-Visual, high-speed internet — 200 trainees simultaneous capacity.
